When I first opened up the site, it was colourful, clear and consise. The first few words I saw were, "There's more to it than you think," which in itself does make the reader curious. As I clicked here and there, moved my way around the site, I found myself more intrigued about the idea of turning my interests into a career.
All students know that one day they're going to have to make the ultimate decision of selecting the career that they want to do and pursue for many years. This decision can not only affect what skills they learn but the people they meet and their future decisions in life. If this site can help students to make a decision that will suit them and ultimately bring them happiness, then that's definitely a plus for me personally.
One of the main positives about the site that stood out to me was the stories written by people about how their interests had affected their career path. It makes the site seem more 'for the people' and to show how it's making a difference in people's lives. Additionally, I did enjoy the interactive quiz's and games, although I don't think that this will attract more students to the site outside of school (although they are intersting). Also the site was fairly accessable and easy to get around.
One of the main negatives about the site was that some of the FAQ answers were far too general, which is understandable, but I think that you should have more specific categories of career questions and answers.
Overall, I thought the site was interesting, colourful and well-thought-out. I believe that it could even aid me with my future career path.
Kind regards,
-Brandan.
