Like many of her friends, Keryn dropped out of school before she could discover what her real interests were. After studying beauty therapy, she found she was intrigued by the chemistry behind product ingredients. Keryn decided to go to university, persevering with maths and science by studying chemistry. It paid off and led to her true vocation, geology and a rewarding career working for a mining company.
