Each month, we review a selection of games related to Maths and Science.
Not as boring as you think. Give it a try, let us know your rating and help us find other games to share with others.
This month's top game:
The Magic Pen
The Magic Pen is the kind of game you can easily lose an hour to. A physics puzzle game, your goal is to collect as many red flags as you can by moving the red ball using little more than a Flash crayon and your imagination. Each level gives you a new puzzle to solve - and if you know your Newton, you'll see pretty quickly this game is about how objects move (or don't move!).
Three basic principles will affect anything you draw - inertia, gravity and fiction. You can create almost any shape you want, and can use hinges and pins to design more complex contraptions to propel the red ball. Whether they actually work can be both frustrating and challenging, because you will spend time creating quite a few fizzers.
The cool thing about this game is that it's very easy to get into, and you get immediate results as you play. There are over 24 levels to get through and you can submit your scores to see how you compare to your mates.
